Bible and Prayer: Read Luke Chapter 1
Buy a small American Flag and start to learn the Pledge of Allegiance
Review the Date:  Example: Today is Monday, the 1st of September


Reading: The Bravest Dog Ever: The True Story of Balto by Natalie Standiford, Read the story until the child knows it very well.  Have your 2nd grader read during rest time a book of their choosing or a passage of Scripture from their own Bible.

Writing: For warm up copy work pick verses from the Bible.  For 2nd grade I focus on Proverbs.  Proverbs 1 are what we are focusing on this week.  Have them start thinking of their own stories.
